The United Nations (UN) international mediator for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, traveled to the central Syrian province of Homs to analyze the possible implementation of his 'Conflict-free zone' initiative there. He met with social leaders and with representatives of the UN headquarters in the province, as well as with the governor of Homs and with a rep from the delegation of the armed groups deployed in the al-Waer suburb.
