Madrid, 21 Nov (EFE).- Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti responded to Xabi Alonso, who called for the Ballon d'Or to be awarded to his Bayern Munich teammate, Manuel Neuer, stating that "he is one of the few people to think that Cristiano Ronaldo" will not win the trophy again.



"I have read what Xabi said but it is an opinion and I don't like talking about those types of comments. I believe that he has given his personal opinion on the topic of goalkeeping and the Ballon d'Or," Ancelotti said. The Italian also made mention of Alonso's words about Neuer being the best goalkeeper with whom he has played, a comment directly aimed at Iker Casillas.



"He is one of the few that thinks that Cristiano is not going to win the Ballon d'Or. It's totally obvious who is going to win. it's normal that Xabi says this because Neuer is a teammate", he added.
