Rebels in East Ukraine have requested the presence of United Nations International Peacekeeping Forces after several civilian deaths in recent days. The Ukrainian government continues to shell the pro-Russian separatist region of Donetsk. On Tuesday, two people were killed and eight injured when a passenger bus was hit by an artillery shell. Although both sides of the conflict signed a ceasefire agreement in September, agressions have not ceased and nearly 1,000 people have died in fighting since the agreement was signed.
