Ahmedabad: Many persons died of electrocution. The state witnessed an increase of about 35 in death due to electrocution. Consumer Education and Research Society (CERS), in the letter to Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission, has stated that as per the Central Electricity Authority regulations, all overhead lines should be provided with protective devices which will cut off power supply in case of wire breaks. If issue is not resolved, PIL (Public Interest Litigation) would be filed before Gujarat High Court for justice.
