In today's program. 1) Life today in the Central African Republic. Previously its Muslim minority and Christian majority lived in harmony, but this changed with the May 2013 coup by the Islamic fundamentalist Seleka, which unleashed a wave of violence, 2) The 40 day Carnival in Montevideo, the most attended cultural event of the year in Uruguay. Part of the event involves the art form known as murga, a form of street theater; 3) The slow but steady gentrification of Harlem, New York City and the US' most famous Black ghetto and historic home to the vanguard in African American culture.
