The surreal show business satire "Birdman," led the Golden Globe Awards film nominations with seven nods making it a frontrunner early in the Hollywood awards season. The story follows a washed-up actor, played by Michael Keaton, attempting a comeback on the Broadway stage. It will compete in the best comedy or musical category with "The Grand Budapest Hotel" which also earned an acting nod for Ralph Fiennes; "Into the Woods" which earned honors for Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt; "St. Vincent," which saw an acting nod for Bill Murray; and British film "Pride.
