Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro blasted Washington's decision to impose sanctions on Venezuelan officials who reined in the violent, three month long opposition protests earlier this year, which left 43 dead. Venezuela feels such actions were part of a broader US backed attempt to overthrow the Bolivarian Revolution. Maduro said Venezuela would not by intimidated by Washington's sanctions.
