The Royal Services Institute of Great Britain reports that the Islamic State (ISIS) is the best financed extremist group in history, with yearly income of US$2 billion. Its funding sources have shifted from rich benefactors to kidnappings, extortions, smuggling, and the illegal sale of oil.
