A window on the Latin American continent, as seen through the eyes of people, either well known or ordinary individuals, who give the viewer an insight into the essence of the region. Today's program takes us to the 1st International Film Festival of Caracas. Eight movies from Mexico, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and Venezuela competed in the category of full-length fiction films. The movies, each in their own way, provide a glimpse into different realities in today's Latin America, dealing with, among other topics, human trafficking, paramilitary repression in indigenous communities, political struggles, and roots and identities.
