ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)br br A gunman fatally shot one person and then killed himself in an incident on Tuesday (January 6) at a U.S. Army facility in El Paso, Texas, a senior U.S. Army official said.br br The names of those who died were not released. The shootings took place at a VA hospital at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in west Texas.br br "All other VA patients and staff are safe," said Fort Bliss Commanding General Stephen Twitty.br br "This is an active crime scene and the shooting incident is under investigation," he added.
