On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankrant we bring to you the most popular Maharashtrian recipe Tilache Ladoo also known as Tilgul. It's a delightful combination of sesame seeds (Til) mixed with jaggery (Gul). We celebrate this Makar Sankrant with the entire team of Classmates, an upcoming Marathi Movie. Classmates releases on 16th January 2015. br br Share on Facebook - br Tweet about this - br Share on g+ - br br साहित्य br br २५० gm चिक्की चा गुळ br २५० gm तीळ br १ मोठा चमचा तूप br ३-४ चमचे शेंगदाण्याचे कुट br १ चमचा काजूचे तुकडे br १ चमचा मनुका br १ मोठा चमचा भाजलेलं खोबरं br १ चमचा वेलची पावडर br br Ingredients: br br 250 gms Jaggery (Chikki Gul) br 250 gms Sesame Seeds (Til) br 1 tbsp Ghee br 3-4 tbsp crushed Groundnut br 1 tsp chopped cashwes br 1 tsp Raisins br 12 cup roasted & grated coconut br 1 tsp Elaichi powder br br Method: br br - Heat a pan, add gul (jaggery) and let it melt completely. Add some ghee to help the jaggery remain moist. Keep stirring the mixture till the gul melts completely. br - When it changes colour, remove it from the flame and let it rest for some time. Add elaichi powder and mix well. br - Take a bowl, add til (sesame seeds), crushed groundnut, chopped cashews, raisins & grated coconut. Mix all the ingredients. br - Add the til mixture to gul and mix well. Apply some ghee or water to your hand and start making ladoos. The ladoos tastes best hot or cold.
