TV9 News: Ahead of Polls: AAP's Arvind Kejriwal Makes Fresh Allegations Against BJP in Delhi..,

NEW DELHI: Targeting BJP leaders, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday claimed that there is a nexus between Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay, and power companies. Kejriwal said that BJP leaders must come clean on their ties with power suppliers in Delhi.

Kejriwal alleged that Upadhyay owns companies which install and replace electricity meters in Delhi. "Satish Upadhyay owns 6 companies. All work with power discoms. He should come clean on the conflict of interest," Arvind Kejriwal said.

Threatening to 'expose BJP leaders', Kejriwal said, "AAP started an audit of electricity companies post complaints. Companies refused to co-operate. BJP still refused to intrude," Kejriwal said.

Slamming the government at the centre, Kejriwal said, "Delhi had never witnessed communal violence. However, in the last few months BJP has been attempting to ignite it."

The Assembly election in Delhi, being touted as a direct contest between BJP and AAP, will be held on February 7. Counting of votes for the election to the 70-member Assembly will be held on February 10, ahead of the expiry President's Rule which was imposed in the capital on February 15, last year.

With the declaration of the poll schedule, the Model Code of Conduct will come into force with immediate effect.
