It was a little overwhelming.br br I was looking for the simplest optionbr br I liked the fact that, with bumGenius, there was only one size to buy. That was HUGE in terms of ease and cost. And bumGenius got crazy good reviews on Amazon. br br We purchased the bumGenius 4.0s right as they came out, which helped us feel like we were buying cutting edge diaper technology :)br br We chose to buy 24 because that was enough to let us go three days at a time before we need to do laundry.br br We love our bumGeniusbr br We started using them when Griffin was 10 days old (after meconium) and have used them just about every day now for eight months.br br We do see a couple cons with bumGenius diapersbr br Theyre bulky. We kind of like this extra padding, but if youre looking for a fitted look, the one-size diapers aint for you.br Colors arent all that bright. Instead, theyre light pastels. On the upside, they wont show through white pants or stand out in an outfit.br br The diapers have snaps to adjust to three different sizes, which will take your baby from newborn right up until potty training.br br Each bumGenius diaper comes with two inserts:br br Newbornbr One-size inserts includedbr br We used the newborn insert for about 3 months with Griffin. Then we started using the bigger, one-size insert at night.br br bumGenius one-size diapers come in two varietiesbr br Hook and loop (Velcro)br Snapsbr We bought half and half. At first, Mike and I both preferred the snaps version. But the velcro is pretty easy too. And the velcro are easy for grandmas and the cloth uninitiated to use, as they go on just like disposables.br br Only downside to velcro is that you have to remember to attach the velcro tabs to a pad in the back of the diaper when you wash them, otherwise theyll stick to and tear up the other diapers in the washer.
