During his state of the union address, Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, made various announcements in relation to the struggling economy. Among the changes for 2015 are a 15 minimum wage increase to both workers and retirees, gas-price regulation at a national level to prevent unfair price hikes to transportation fares, the implementation of a three-market exchange-rate system as well as continued actions to battle the economic war launched by the right.
