The Newshour Debate: Photo finish for Delhi - 1

Two former comrades from Anna's movement now ranged against each other as the main Chief Ministerial contenders in Delhi. But the Aam Admi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal is taking a lead on the back of his long campaign. Opinion polls in late January show Kejriwal as the frontrunner. With Kiran Bedi freshly inducted as the BJPs Chief Ministerial face lagging behind. Another survey on February 1st showing the gap between Kejriwal and Bedi is narrowing but still giving the AAP Chief a clear edge. The latest opinion poll released on Monday reveals that Bedi seems to be closing in but Kejriwal still seems to be the first preference for Delhi's next Chief Minister. Kejriwal said, "I did not let any slum get demolished during my 49 days as Chief Minister. We are going to form a government for five years and I won't let any slum get demolished." Bedi said, "Another lie is emerging. We should not waste a single vote, neither for corruption nor for the lies." With just four days to go for polling the fight between Kejriwal and Bedi is all set to go down to the wire.
