In Brazil, a campaign is underway to discredit the state owned oil company Petrobras because some of its board members are being investigated for a corruption scandal. However, despite this unfavorable scenario, in 2014 the company produced a daily average of 2.17 million barrels of oil, breaking an annual record for the sixth consecutive year.
