U.S. and U.K. spy agencies hack SIM cards

U.S and British intelligence agencies have stolen encryption keys that protect the privacy of cell-phone communications in all parts of the world. According to top secret documents made public by whistleblower Edward Snowden, they hacked into the world’s largest manufacturer of SIM cards, Gemalto, to steal codes that facilitate eavesdropping.
