Syria calls for talks with no outside interference

Issues discussed during Monday's session of the U.N. Security Council included the conflict in Syria. Representative Faysal al-Modad welcomed resolutions expressiong respect from the international body for the principles of national sovereignty, territorial integrity and non-interference but accused the United States and European countries, namely Turkey, of being behind the terrorism that is taking over Syria. Opposition leaders agreed with the government representative and called for talks with no outside inferference.
