Surat: The auction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pinstripe monogrammed suit which fetched a whopping Rs 4.31 crore garnered a lot of attention not only from the media but also from con artists. A con man tried to forge the cheque worth Rs 4.31 crore issued by the buyer of the suit Laljibhai Patel of Dharmanand Group and encash it in a bank in Haryana. The alertness of the bank staff brought the forgery to light. Surat police has sent a team to Haryana to nab the accused.
