"The Key To Motivation.. -LuckyJoshB (3/5/15)

I swear sometimes it’s the hardest thing in the world to get motivated. When I’m in bed, I want to stay in bed and when I’m out and about, I don’t want to go to sleep. Someone once said to me that it just sounds like I hate change. Probably. I’ve never really liked much how the world would change things. I just didn’t like the change I encountered. My life would only change when I did big things, like moving to a new city, quitting my job, breaking up with that girl. Some might say that makes me a control freak in that I only like the changes I make. br br Well, first of all, no need for name-calling. And second, I can’t tell you how much it took to get to the breaking point in which I would take the big steps. Years of traffic in LA broke me to move. Quitting that job came after so many generous attempts at letting that company do the right thing. Repeated abuse led me to end that relationship way later than I should have. The weight of the world and time took their toll and created motivation. I think you call that pressure. br br But what if we could motivate ourselves without the need for catastrophe forcing us to change our lives. What if we could just do rather than wait for the world to give us our handout? br br Well if the “what” of the world is pressure? And the “why” is understanding? Understanding how others think – It’s the only way to connect with another person. Recognizing why they feel as they do and relating to that creates a kinship, dare I say a success. br br And what if that idea of understanding didn’t just lead to connections with others? What if that idea of understanding could also be applied to ourselves? How often do you ask yourself why you feel certain things, why you believe certain things, why you want certain things? What if you got to know yourself, know why certain things made you tick? Wouldn’t that lead to an intimacy with yourself? Wouldn’t that lead to an appreciation of yourself? Wouldn’t that lead to a knowledge that you could do anything you wanted because you knew why you wanted it. And wouldn’t that knowledge fueling your desire create drive??? br br Please subscribe and share!! New quotes coming every weekday!!!
