The family of Logan Stiner has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Amazon and other entities involved in the caffeine powder business; the 18-year old teen overdosed on the substance and died at his home in May.

The family of an Ohio teenager who died from overdosing on caffeine powder has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Amazon and several other entities involved in the substance’s manufacturing, sales, and distribution.

The legal action accuses the defendants of a “flagrant disregard of the safety of persons” as well as their failure to “follow the safety laws and regulations in place for ‘dietary supplements.’” 

Logan Stiner, who was 18-years old at the time and five days away from his high school graduation, died on May 27, 2014 at his home in LaGrange, Ohio.
