President Juan Manuel Santos of Colombia has announced a temporary halt to air strikes against FARC guerrilla camps. He said he will order the Minister of Defense and Commanders of the Armed Forces to stop the bombings for one month. Santos is also setting up a peace advisory commission including past presidents and past presidential candidates.
