The Surat Municipal Corporation has floated tender and invited bids for arranging picnics for 15000 civic school students in November 2014. According to Opposition, Authority tried to do corruption in arranging picnic, they choose Private agency and decided to give Rs 24,831 per bus which was higher amount in front of ST bus service. Opposition termed the move as another window for corruption asked Vigilance to probe into.
