The Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) launched its most ambitious campaign to reduce child mortality rate and malnutrition. Under the scheme, pregnant women coming to Community Health Centres for routine check ups; will be given 6 kg pulses. The government has allotted Rs.14 lakh to GMC for first of its kind initiative.
