A ten-year-old Tennessee girl invited friends to her slumber party and received a racist note in return. One of her friends gave the girl a hand-written letter that reads the following:br br “Maby [SIC] I will not be able to come to your birthday sleepover, because my dad will not let me go because you are black,” the unidentified child wrote in blue, green and pink. “Not trying to be races [SIC], but my mom let me go. Happy birthday!”br br The letter became public after TV station WREG showed the hand written message. In an interview, the birthday girl’s father said he does not blame the child’s parents. br br “It angered me a little bit, it hurt me for the simple fact that my ten-year-old girl had to deal with something I myself never thought I would have to deal with,” he said in an interview with the TV station.
