A U.S. marshal died on duty Tuesday morning when he was fatally shot while serving an arrest warrant on a double homicide suspect in Louisiana.br br A task force led by federal Marshals arrived at a motel in Baton Rouge Tuesday morning while attempting to arrest Jamie Croom. br br When the marshals were making their way into a room, Deputy Josie Wells was shot by Croom, sparking a fierce gunfight.
