Last week in Nanjing a middle aged man on a China Southern Airlines flight opened the emergency door.br br He sat there, basking in the sunlight coming from the open door while shocked passengers and a flight attendant asked him what he thought he was doing.br br The man told the flight attendant not to ger her panties in a twist. It wasn’t a big deal if the door was open before, during or after the flight. Because the man refused to close the door to listen to the flight attendant, the airline had no choice but to call the police.br br The man was arrested and held for 10 days in police custody.br br This isn’t the first incident of Chinese tourists just not getting it when it comes to emergency doors on airplanes. One woman threatened to open the emergency door in flight so she could commit suicide. Another man opened the emergency door while on the tarmac for a bit of fresh air.
