The captain of South Africa’s national football team, goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead on Sunday.br br The shooting took place as Senzo Meyiwa was reportedly visiting his girlfriend’s house in the township of Vosloorus, near Johannesburg at around 8 p.m., Reuters reported.br br South African police said two men entered the house, while another remained outside. Authorities said there was an "altercation," and the intruders demanded a cellphone before Meyiwa was shot. He died upon arrival at hospital, Reuters reported.br br The three men then fled the scene on foot.
