A 71-year old man from Wakayama, in Japan’s western Kansai region, set his son on fire earlier this month after dousing him in gasoline..br br The son was rushed to hospital by emergency services and is currently in intensive care.br br The two worked and lived together. That evening the father went to the home of his former wife, they had divorced years ago, and his son joined the couple later.br br After the two left the house, they argued and the son climbed into the passenger seat of the car. Instead of driving them home, the father pulled open the passenger side door and poured out a spare tank of gasoline on his son. Then he used a lighter to set his son on fire.br br The son was rushed to hospital with burns over 77 of his body.br br When police questioned the father he admitted to pre-mediating the murder and explained that’s why he’d brought the lighter.
