Saving money by ‘doing it yourself’ home repair work is usually a good idea.

But a certain Mr. Ho is probably wishing he’d hired someone else to work on dismantling his old house last week.

As Mr. Ho was working on his old home in Guangxi Province, a metal bar in the ceiling became loose, and yep—one of those metal, inch-thick, spear-pointed pieces of rebar came falling down—directly into Mr. Ho’s face.

Doctors--who could barely believe Ho was still alive - discovered the metal bar had JUST missed his brain and left eye socket.

Medical personnel were able to remove the bar--after a very long and delicate surgical procedure.

Mr. Ho will be going home alive, with sight in both eyes and an undamaged brain. This is one dude who definitely needs to buy a lottery ticket.

Talk about a lucky escape! –But man, that had to hurt.
