Man buried alive in sand tunnel collapse at Half Moon Bay beach, California

A 26-year-old California man is dead after a sand hole he was digging at the beach collapsed on top of him, burying him alive. br br Adam Pye dug a 10 ft deep hole at Francis State Beach and was standing in it around 5.30 p.m. Monday when the sand started caving in around him, officials said. br br Around 30 volunteers used their hands, shovels, and buckets and in about five minutes, they were able to clear sand away from Pye’s head.
