Elderly ex-con Walter Unbehaun deliberately got caught robbing an Illinois bank in an attempt to go back to prison, according to a Chicago Sun-Times report citing federal prosecutors.br br Unbehaun spent most of his adult life in prison and apparently loved it there. So much so, in fact, that upon his release, the cane-toting septuagenarian intentionally stuck up a BMO Harris Bank branch in Niles, near Chicago, this past February.br br The 73-year-old allegedly told the teller during the stickup: "This is a hold up. I have nothing to lose. I don't want to hurt you," Unbehaun continued, according to the complaint.br br He was no doubt ecstatic when FBI agents and police came to arrest him a day after the robbery outside a North Chicago motel.br br Unbehaun told FBI agents he "wanted to go back to the only life he knew — prison life," according to the NBC report. br br --------------------------------------------------------br br TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news.
