Fine Artbr 20155gamdobr The exhibition "2015-5gamdo," inspired by poet Lee Sang's "Ogamdo," was br br held at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts to mark the 70th anniversary of br br Korea's independence from Japan. The poem expressed Lee's frustrations br br about life during the colonial period, and "2015Gamdo" displays some 800 br br art works depicting the atmosphere of a newly liberated Korea by some 300 br br Korean artists.br Artist Cho Myung-sik creates a live painting piece everyday during the br br exhibition. Using the medium of art, Cho strives to discover the true meaning br br of independence. Meanwhile, Artist Lim Man-sun turns 'Byeokjomok,' the br br thunderstruck jujube trees, into pieces of art. Combining calligraphy with br br painting on wood, his pieces exude diverse symbols and images, further br br expanding the possibilities of art. Through their artistry, the artists heal and br br console everyone and their uncured wounds.br [Fine Art] The lives of individuals turned into pieces of artbr Seoul Museum of Art br br Performancebr Earth, Life & Us by Park Youn-woo Triobr Park Youn-woo Trio is comprised of drummer Lee Do-heon, who plays the br br best possible rhythm for the trio, bassist Kim Sung-su that forms solid br br grooves with his lingering sound as well as guitarist Park Youn-woo, who br br combined modern classical music with jazz. This trio held a concert to br br commemorate the release of their second album, which depicts humble, br br peaceful nature and ordinary life stories. This jazz trio actively incorporated br br the harmony and performance techniques of classical music to accentuate br br their traits. They take their music to the next level with their wonderful br br harmony and chemistry, and their original, distinct music touches everyone's br br soul this spring.
