Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced yesterday that Caracas would seek to negotiate a US$100 a barrel oil price with nations outside the OPEC. He made the comments before a private meeting with Qatar Emir Tamim bin Hamad al Thani in Caracas and three weeks ahead of the next OPEC meeting, where the member states will decide whether to cut production to boost sagging prices.
