With 50 votes in favor, 17 against and one abstention, the House ad hoc committee on the Bangsamoro Basic Law finally approved the controversial measure and turned it over to the plenary for consideration. The committee likewise renamed the bill, the Basic Law of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.
