Ahmedabad: An RTI by Pankaj Bhatt has shed some light on misuse of government vehicles. As per the RTI, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) officials use government vehicles on holidays for personal reasons and the kilometers of that personal travel goes to 55,000 in five years. The RTI has prompted authorities to swing into action. "We will take stern action against those responsible and implement new rules and regulations to combat this misuse", said Pravin Patel, Standing Committee Chairman of AMC. Opposition has raised questions on the administration of ruling party.
