Ahmedabad: Today, on May 24, city celebrated the World Schizophrenia Day. The city has so many patients suffering from schizophrenia and the numbers are going up which is a serious cause of concern. A mental disorder that is almost treatable, early detection plays a major role in a patient's recovery. Ajay Chauhan, the Superintendent of Ahmedabad Mental Hospital said that "It is a mental disorder which is almost treatable and there are several biological, social as well as psychological reasons behind the disease". If we treat it scientifically, we can overcome the disease, he added.
