Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro proposed on Tuesday that Argentine soccer star Diego Maradona be the new head of FIFA. Maradona had been denouncing corruption in the world soccer body for many years and had opposed FIFA president Joseph Blatter's reelection. Blatter resigned yesterday amid a major scandal that shows no signs of abetting.
