Kate Hudson takes the cake for the best dressed celebrity in Washington DC This Weekend!

The guest list for the annual White House Correspondents Dinner was full of A-List celebrities, but Kate Hudson stole the show in a gorgeous gown by Jenny Packham.

Politically perfect—Hudson stepped out in a long sleeve, full sequin gown that hugged her ultra slim figure.

The wide neckline showed little skin on the star—but the perfectly tailored frock gave her just the right amount of sexiness.

The sparkles were extremely loud, but what brought the dress home for me were the embellished cuffs on the sleeves. They were the perfect way to change up the texture and add something extra to the gown.

As for Kate's hair and makeup—she went ultra glam, with a sophisticated high bun. This style choice made the otherwise playful color look elegant and put together.

Her makeup was downplayed and rightfully so, considering the dress didn't need much in the way of help. She wore bold lashes, rosy pink cheeks and just a soft nude lip.

For accessories, Kate stayed right on trend with an Edie Parker clutch that had ice ends—which is so hot for spring and then for jewelry, she sported simple silver earrings.
