Tens of thousands of Nicaraguans across the country poured into the streets to celebrate the 36th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution. In 1979 insurgents toppled the U.S.-backed Antasacio Somoza dictatorship and ushered in what has become known as the Sandinista Revolution.
