Researchers at Oregon State University have developed a strain of seaweed that people are saying tastes exactly like bacon. Chris Langdon and his colleagues at the Hatfield Marine Science Center have now created and patented a new strain of red marine algae called “dulse” which, when fried, tastes like actual bacon. Researchers say it has twice the nutritional value of the popular superfood kale.
