On July 18th, a confrontation took place between 2016 Democratic presidential hopefuls and Black Lives Matter activists. What was this confrontation about? It was revealed that 1,867 refugees have died during the crossing of the Mediterranean this year, including an outrageous 1,308 deaths in the month of April alone. That is up tremendously from last year’s 588. What is driving this refugee crisis in the Mediterranean?
