Brazilian authorities arrested Jose Dirceu, top aide to former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, for his involvement in the growing Petrobras corruption scandal. The chief prosecutor charged Dirceu was a key instigator in the massive US$2 billion kickback scheme in the state-owned oil company. Authorities say neither Lula nor current president Dilma Rousseff were involved.
