Approximately 9000 women are reportedly abused every year and the number is only increasing, says a non governmental organisation (NGO).br br Working towards a purpose of spreading awareness and encouraging a non-violent means to end a conflict, the All Women Action Society (Awam) is organising a White Ribbon Campaign Walk and Run this year.br br According to White Ribbon chairperson Judith Loh-Koh this is an opportunity for men to place themselves in women's shoes, to emphatise with a woman's journey to engage with the issues of violence against women and girls.
