Hamburg is the biggest marketplace in Germany for Chinese goods. A booming Chinese economy over the last three decades saw the port set one new record after the next. More recently, Chinese exports have seen a decline in sales to the EU – in July by 12 from a year earlier. That situation could change, however, now that Beijing has devalued the yuan.
