Zaid also denied suggestions that the dissidents were founding members of Kita, as claimed by some.
"They are not, as if you look at Kita's history, it comes from Akim. Look at Abdullah Sani Musa (pointing to the person) from Kelantan. His father helped set up Akim. Hence, Abdullah can be said to be a founding leader," he said.
"These people may have associated themselves with me or have worked with me. However, they cannot claim themselves as founding Kita members. Even I cannot lay that claim of being a founding member," Zaid explained.
