Detention of Palestinian Hunger Striker Suspended

Detention of Palestinian Hunger Striker Suspended

The Israeli Supreme Court has suspended the detention of Palestinian prisoner Mohammad Allan. His lawyer has indicated that Allan has ended his 65 day hunger strike. The Court said that Allan will remain in intensive care, but can petition for his release as long as his health continues to improve. Last week Allan suffered brain damage due to lack of food. The suspension is considered a victory for Allan, but supporters say that suspension is not enough. The detention should be cancelled.
