Surat: The Indian diamond industry is passing from a tough phase due to severe liquidity crisis and the dwindling demand of polished diamonds. A diamond trader in the city was cheated of Rs.1.16 crore by three brokers. The two accused have been jailed while other managed to flee. Police has started further investigation to nab the rest accused.
