Former Guatemalan First Lady Sandra Torres is running for president in Sunday's elections. Torres had attempted to run in 2011, but despite having obtained a divorce specifically in order to circumvent a constitutional ban on close relatives of a sitting president from running for the same office, she was prevented from being a candidate. She is now a candidate of the center-left National Unity for All coalition and is running in third place.
