Ahmedabad: Battling to cope with the Patidar agitation seeking OBC status for the community, Gujarat BJP has started to prepare for the upcoming crucial urban local body (ULB) elections that are likely to be scheduled in October. The party held a meeting of its MPS and MLAs along with senior office- bearers of the party. The observers for each of the six municipal corporations that are likely to go to polls went and listened to the workers of each ward to decide the party candidates. BJP has asked its observers to ensure that the candidates shortlisted for the local civic body elections have the basic knowledge to read and write.
